Well, I did get some content up this
weekend. Nothing major though,
because most of my weekend was taken
up by Homecoming. All the screenshots sections were redone. I created a "logo" for the site to be placed on all the screenshots - you'll see it's a 4 diamond pattern with the URL. Just something simple, I just wanted it changed from plain old text The Message Board is slowly regaining activity, and we're always looking for Mario fans to join!!

I hoped you liked the special
anniversary sections. It's too bad
that so many other Mario sites
forgot, or don't think enough to
even post an update about it. Anyways, there's no new content in this update. Nothing. I couldn't get around to to it. Why? College Applications took up my whole weekend. I submitted 4 applications - 1 to a tech school, 1 to a local university, and 2 to major universities throughout the country. Since some of them are major colleges, I literally took all of Sunday applying to the 2. However, I'll try and add some new content during the week, so keep checking the game pages until then because I update it all at once over the weekend, even though it may have been added earlier. We could use a bit of a boost at the Message Board right now, it's a tad bit slow with school getting busier and busier, be sure to join today! And even though this is incredibly unrelated to the site...the MLB Playoffs start on Tuesday and the new album from The Killers (Sam's Town) was released today. Just though I might say it since I have a strong interest in both |

September 29, 1996 - The day of the
gaming revolution. 10 years ago,
Super Mario 64 was released, and
everything changed. Goodbye side scrollers, hello 3-D world. I don't know why, but this seemed to sneak up on some people. I haven't seen it talked about too much, but it is a pretty big anniversary. In commemoration, and with a bad graphic (=P), here's what's been added today:

Well, it has been a little while
since I updated. I didn't have time
this weekend, but I still should've
gotten an update up Unfortunately, there is no new downloadable soundtrack this week. However, I did do something big - we now have our first walkthrough started! This walkthrough isn't like any other walkthrough, for the most part. It's not nearly complete yet, but it is incredibly detailed, at least compared to what I've written for other sites! Also, I've started a new petition for a true Super Mario RPG Sequel! Be sure to Sign the Petition if you support a Super Mario RPG Sequel Lastly, we've started a Mario Trivia Contest at the Message Board! We're only 3 days in, so if you decide to play, you'll easily be in the hunt for the top spot. Actually, 1 more thing. 3 days - check back then for an update. If you know what it's for, well, try not to tell others, it'll be more of a surprise for them. I've added just a little bit this time...

Weekend again, so I tried to add
some things. Even though I don't
like to make excuses, I was sick
this weekend and my dog had to go to
the emergency room for a serious
condition, so I was unable to do
work most of the time With that said, I have managed to do a few things. I've added a bunch to the Smrpg Ds Remake, including it's History and how you can Send an Email to each company involved. The Mario News section also had its first entries. Like last update, there's also a new downloadable soundtrack! Remember, you can view all our downloadable soundtracks on the Music page! Also, some news for the Message Board. Scott has won the Video Game Music Contest, so congratulations to him. Actually, we're starting our second contest soon. We're not quite sure what it'll be yet, but most likely it's going to be Mario Trivia - Join today to play! Overall, these are the latest additions...

Weekend, the perfect time to add
something. And I did, I've added a
lot of new things First off, some news. Reports now have it that Super Paper Mario will be a launch title for the Wii. These are just rumors - apparently, it would be a launch title so that the Wii starts with a Mario title, unlike the Gamecube. It's not confirmed, just rumored As for the site...I've added a lot of things. There's a new downloadable soundtrack for everyone. A bunch of fan stuff has been added as well from Kirston Allan Garrett, including our first Fan Fiction submission. I've also added a new section under the navigation menu titled "Special". It contains new pages such as Articles, Mario News, and Smrpg Ds Remake. Right now, they have nothing on them...I'm not sure I'll keep the Articles page, but I figure I may as well give it a go first. Mario News will obviously be used for the latest on anything that involves Mario. However, I will not announce the news here anymore unless it is major news. So, make sure you keep checking that for all the latest. I'm still debating whether or not to add a Fan Reviews page. I know a couple people have asked about it. At this point, I don't think it will happen, maybe later. But for the mean time, the additions are...

Well, I knew this would happen.
School, and lots of it But now it's weekend! Hopefully I should be able to add a few pages soon. As for the update. Well, we had some issues with stolen content. That has been resolved, and everything is fine now But, for the future. There's going to be times when people steal and we people accuse Sml of stealing. I know, it's happened many times from random people on my other site. To prevent this, I've done a few things. When the problems arise, I will deal with them then Being the Mario is such a large series to cover, there's going to be some controversy. More than 2 people can have the same idea - but how someone goes about it and accomplishes it is the problem. Example: Let's say someone else and I have the same idea for a page. One makes it before, but they both do it themselves because they know the content, then it's no problem. But if one takes the idea from the other and does it from them, then it's a different story Anyways, the things that needed to be done have been taken. You guys won't have to worry though, stolen content won't be put on Sml by me =) But, I did add 2 additions...

6 days, so I'm doing a bit better
with updating. We have a huge update
for you this time, with all kinds of
new goodies! Let's start with some news. A new game called Super Mario Strikers: Charged! has been announced by Nintendo - Not for the Gamecube, but for the Nintendo Wii! This is the third Mario related title for the new console Now for some site related things. We got a new piece of Fan Art courtesy of Windmill from the Message Board. We've also got some new Links, and Matthew Bolles has submitted 3 of his Fan Comics for Super Mario Legacy. Not only that, but we have started our first Contest at the Message Board! It's the "Video Game Music Contest"! If you'd like to still get in on it, you'll need to join the board and check out the Contests forum The big addition, however, is the first downloadable soundtrack! I know some people didn't expect that! I've also added new sections for some games. In total, here's all the latest additions...

Well, it's been 11 days, but that
doesn't mean I haven't been doing
anything! Well, a bunch of us over
at
Smrpg Legacy
have been busy with the Smrpg DS
campaign. We received a personal
letter from Nintendo! That's taking
up a lot of time. Anyways, I've added some content, and we're starting to reach some progress. The Message Board has nearly 2000 posts already, and we're heading straight for 3000. Be sure to join today! We've also got a new affiliate: Dashing. It's a new Mario Kart fan site, and they've also support the Super Mario RPG DS Remake Petition like us! We've also had our first Fan Art submission courtesy of Jacob Visser. If you've got any Fan Art, Fan Fiction, or Fan Comics, be sure to Submit them - we'd be glad to put it up! As for the content...

Like I said, there was more content
to come. I went both retro and
future on this one, doing content
for some SNES games and some Wii
games Also, the Message Board is doing quite well for the start. Be sure to check that out as well, we'd love to have you there and posting with other fans If you've been here before and now look at the pages under Games, you'll see that I've unlisted everything. Don't worry though, I still plan to do it all. I'm just going to list it as it's complete We also now support the Super Mario RPG DS Petition! Well, this isn't a great way to
start a new site, I've already
gotten into an updating funk! Actually, myself and a few others from my other site have been working on something, and I've been focused on that. But I'm back, and I plan to add some content soon. However, it seems that I've been trying to stop other sites from stealing design ideas from here more of the time than I have been adding content. If you see other sites have a game page that similar to ours, especially in images, you know where they got it from! Be sure to check back soon, because I hope to add some new stuff soon. In the meantime, check out the Message Board. We've passed 1,100 posts in about a week, and we're continuing to grow! |

Message Board has finally been
added! You can get to the Message Board by clicking it on the navigation menu, or you can go to http://z6.invisionfree.com/SuperMarioLegacy/index.php?act=idx to get there. To start posting with other Mario fans, you'll need to Register, which is on the top left part. Please join, we're hoping to get an active community soon! |

It's been 5 days since I first
updated, but work has been done! All
the pages on the navigation menu are
now set up. They were set up about 4
days ago. Most of the links under
the Games pages don't work since
content still needs to be added Each update I'll list the new pages added for a little while since there will be a lot of pages added in the next coming weeks. As for the updates itself, I've changed the look with the 2 colored bars to match the layout of the game sections Now for the additions. We've got a new affiliate, Shadow's HQ! It's one of the very few Shadow fan sites out there and has plenty of potential. We've also got a new link, Carl's Place!

Here we are - the grand opening of
Super Mario Legacy. We hope to soon
become your number 1 source for
everything Mario whether it be info,
music, pictures, or anything else! This is going to be a long project, and we hope that you'll be a part of the site's growth and development. It's going to take some effort, but let's hope that we can pull off a great site! My life's quite busy at the moment...it probably wasn't the best time to start this site. However, I plan to start on the classic sections soon since they are my favorite eras of Mario. Look forward to some fresh content and media! I'd also like to give a huge thanks to Masamune of www.gamehiker.com - He's helped me a ton over the last few months coding sites in PHP for me. Be sure to check out his site! |
